अंग्रेजी में अधिकतर वाक्य नीचे दिए गए 4 मूलभूत नियमों पर बनते हैं |

Four basic components for making sentences

1. Subject – काम करने वाला

2. Verb – क्रिया / कार्य

3. Object – जिस पर कार्य/ काम किया जा रहा है |

4. Helping verb – is, am, are, has, have, was, were, will, shall etc.

e.g. राकेश (Subject) एक निबंध (object) लिखेगा (Verb).

Rakesh (Subject) will (Helping verb) write (Verb) a letter (Object)

Three types of sentences.

1. Affirmative – स्वीकारात्मक

2. Negative – नकारात्मक

3. Interrogative – प्रश्नवाचक

1. Affirmative Formula:-

Sub. + H.V. + V. + Obj.

Note: - Present Indefinite & Past Indefinite के affirmative sentence में H.V. का प्रयोग नहीं होता है.

Note: - Helping Verb 1 से लेकर ४ शब्द तक के होते हैं. ऐसे में H.V. का पहला शब्द H.V. ही जगह और और बाकि ३ शब्द verb के पहले लगेंगे.

Sub = I, H.V.= abc123xyz or ought to have been, V= taught, Obj.=English

I abc123xyz taught English

I ought to have been taught English.

2. Negative Formula:-

Sub. + H.V. + not + V+ Obj.

E.g. 1. – I a not bc123xyz taught English.

2. – I ought not to have been taught English.

3. Interrogative Formula:-

a. क्या से आरम्भ होने वाले वाक्य |

H.V. + Sub+ V+ Obj.

Eg. 1. A I bc123xyz taught English.

2. Ought I to have been taught English.

b. क्या बीच में आये या अन्य interrogative word (how, who, when, where, etc) कहीं भी आये.

Int. word + H.V. + Subj. + V + Obj.

Eg. 1. Why A I bc123xyz taught English.

2. Why Ought I to have been taught English.

4. Interrogative Negative :-

Interrogative sentence / formula में not के प्रयोग के कारण ये interrogative negative कहे जाते हैं.

a. H.V. + Subj + not + V + Obj.

eg. 1. A I not bc123xyz taught English.

2. Ought I not to have been taught English.

3. क्या राम अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ रहा है ? – Is Ram not reading English?

b. Int.word + H.V. + Suj + not + V + Obj.

Eg. 1. Why A I not bc123xyz taught English

2. Why Ought I not to have been taught English.

3. राम अंग्रेजी क्यों नहीं पढ़ रहा है ? Why is Ram not reading English?
